FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AMERICAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADDS FINANCIAL ADVISOR Drew Connolly to Assist in
National Expansion ______ St. Petersburg, Florida – May 19, 2008 --- American Community Development Corporation (ACD) announced today that James A. “Drew” Connolly III has agreed to join ACD's advisory board. Mr. Connolly stated his eagerness to participate in developing affordable, quality housing and life enhancing projects in order to both address a compelling social need and provide a private sector market driven solution ”to a problem impacting communities nationally.” Mr.
Connolly has been instrumental in arranging financing and consulted on numerous
mergers and acquisition transactions of both public and private companies. Mr.
Connolly also hosted the nationally syndicated “Street Signals” radio
program focusing on small business investing while acting as Corporate
Development Director for Investrend Communications, a premier small cap
investment research firm. Mr.
Connolly was a co-founder of the CEO Council, a national small public company
advocacy association and was their Executive Director. The CEO Council’s
impact on the landmark Sarbanes-Oxley reforms was acknowledged by multiple
Congressional testimony appearances as well as an invitation to be a member on
the SEC Committee on Smaller Public Companies. This
Advisory Committee after, multiple public hearings held nationwide, and a
year long consultative process, delivered to the SEC Commissioners a blueprint
for small public company finance and governance that was widely acclaimed and
instrumental in effecting regulatory reform impacting the capital markets
that was consistent with both capital formation and investor protection..
Currently
Mr. Connolly is President of IBA Capital Funding and serves as Executive Vice
President for a novel technology
company in the audio industry as well as working with several international
concerns in energy, insurance and
finance. American
